Blog - We've Been Baby Swim Teachers for a Whole Week!

Our fourteen new baby swimming teachers say "Hi!"
It's just a week since our fourteen fabulous new baby swim teachers completed their Puddle Ducks training. Last Friday, they all went home exhausted, and exhilerated. Now they can sit back and think "I'm a baby swimming teacher! For Puddle Ducks! I've been a Puddle Ducks baby swimming teacher for a WHOLE WEEK!"
I was lucky enough to examine many of them for their STA qualification on the Thursday, and then examine our two newest franchisees (Carolyn Sharpe - franchisee for Newcastle and Kate Attwood - franchisee for Worcestershire) on the Friday.
No matter how much we warn the candidates that this is an intensive course, they still emerge shocked and exhausted at the level of technical detail, progression and comprehension that is included. We hear accountants, solicitors and other high-powered individuals telling us it was the most intensive course they have ever undertaken!
In many ways this thrills me. I could not count the hours and hours that myself and our Technical Director have spent developing these programmes so I love it when all this development is really, really appreciated. And going forward, our Super Teacher network (lead by our Technical Director) will continue to develop and improve the classes that we offer. I can't wait to see how they will develop!
So to all our new teachers - congratulations! This is the start of what I hope will be a wonderful part of your life. Welcome and enjoy.
