Blog - Meet Our New Dabblers Teachers

Ali, Jim and Charlie - our new wonderful Dabblers teachers!
I think every teacher must have a favourite programme to teach.
For some it is the tiny, tiny Floaties with their adoring, and often rather nervous, parents. Fo others it is Splashers or Kickers as these babies and toddlers start to realise how much fun it is in the water. More importantly, they start to realise just what they are capable of.
For other teachers it is the thrill of a new and nervous Little Dipper letting go for the first time, or putting their face confidently into the water. Or a confident Dipper swimming several metres to the bar, before holding on and turning to grin at Mum.
For me though, it has to be Dabblers! Dabblers are my absolute favourite class! There are few feelings more special that seeing eight pairs of three and four year old eyes gazing at you in anticipation, ready to launch into an independent swim as soon as you say the word! And NO parents in the water! No - they are all on the poolside watching on with amazement and admiration. Dabblers are (usually!) unbelievably well-behaved, wonderfully confident and desperate to show off in the water. They are a real pleasure to teach and the icing on the Puddle Ducks' cake!
As you would expect with Puddle Ducks, to become a Dabblers swimming teacher requires extra special training. I'm especially excited therefore, to be able to tell you that we have three wonderful new Dabblers teachers in our network - Charlie, Ali and Jim. I do hope they enjoy teaching this programme as much as I do.
Is your child in Dabblers? Are they amazing in the water?
Did you bring your Dabbler along to one of the practical training sessions? What did you think?
I'd love to hear what you think!

Imogen is hoping to start her Dabblers lessons after Christmas and she so cant wait to be in the water on her own and she says she be all big then.
Me however will probably shed a tear when she has her first lesson on her own as I can remember her first lesson when she was 8 weeks old at Hartford Hill on a thursday morning and I have loved the experience with her so much and we love our lessons togther. Will just have to make most of my lessons with Euan and go swimming with Imogen at the weekends.
