We supported Tommy's Splashathon AGAIN this year

The wonderful people from Tommy's sent us an email to thank us for our efforts in our Splashathon this year.  Here it is - with HUGE thanks to all our customers for their generosity and enthusiasm.

"We’re so grateful to Puddle Ducks for Splashing for Tommy’s over the last few years.  The support everyone involved has given us – teachers, mums, dads and the little Splashers themselves - has been outstanding.

 Thanks to your fundraising efforts, we’re making real progress in helping more mums and dads experience parenthood.  We believe every pregnancy should have a happy ending, so we fund medical research and information programmes which aim to prevent premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage.

 Sadly, pregnancy problems are more common than people think: one in four women in the UK lose a baby during pregnancy or birth.

 Tommy’s helps women like Lucy who, after 14 years of trying to have a baby and being affected by multiple pregnancy complications, successfully gave birth to her son Louis with the help of medical research made possible by Tommy’s.  She said, ‘My story gives people huge hope. The reason I’m supporting Tommy’s is we wouldn’t be here without them. Having Louis naturally after such a struggle was both unreal and exceptional. I had amazing care but other women aren’t so fortunate.’

This year alone, Puddle Ducks’ little swimmers have already raised over £4,000 in support of Tommy’s, and that total is still rising.  By supporting the Splashathon, Puddle Ducks is helping us to save the lives of tiny babies and helping parents have the families they have always wanted.
