Encouraging Women Into Franchising

EWIF "Does exactly what it says on the tin"

Have you ever wondered where the phrase "does exactly what it says on the tin" comes from?  I did and discovered it was a Ronseal woodstain advert launched in 1994 and still in use today.  Wow!

There's something very reassuring about the phrase, don't you think?  It is a promise - a promise that you are getting what you think you are getting.  No unnecessary frills.  No broken promises. 

Well, I think the wonderful EWIF group is just like that.  EWIF stands for "encouraging women into franchising" and its mission is "to inspire, encourage, educate and support women considering or involved in franchising through its network of Ambassadors".

Through telephone support and advice, mentoring, case studies, research and much more, EWIF services support women looking to become franchisees.

We're delighted to tell you that Puddle Ducks is proud to part of that network as a fully fledged member of EWIF - an organisation that pretty much does what it says on the tin!

Best Friends Become Successful Franchisors

Jo and Tracy tell their story in the Franchise Magazine

Don't you think that is a lovely Title?  I did when I read it in the latest edition of the Franchise Magazine.  And it serves as a lovely reminder of just how far Puddle Ducks has come.

We are celebrating our 10th year in business this year, and really caring about each and every customer is still at the heart of our business. 

We started Puddle Ducks because swimming with our babies was a very special experience, and we wanted to give other Mums the opportunity to experience it too, in a fun, relaxing and safe environment.

 We wanted our business and our home life to fit around each other, and ten years on we have proved that it is possible!  Flexible working is still our operational model - for ourselves as well as for our staff and our franchisees.
