About the pool
Location: Thornbury Park, Bristol BS35

Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks have exclusive use
during hire times.
Changing rooms: There are two spacious changing
rooms that are used for both mums and dads during weekend classes.
There are limited male changing facilities during
weekdays.
Poolside Assistant: There is a Puddle Ducks poolside
assistant.

Parking: Parking is available on Church Road,
opposite the school. To get there from Thornbury High Street, turn
left onto Castle Street and follow the road that becomes Park Road.
You will pass Thornbury Castle and a church on your left as the
road bears right. Church Road is the next right hand turn.
Other: The pool building is only a short walk away
and is accessible via the exit road of Thornbury Castle. You will
need to walk back to Park Road then carefully cross over to the
green gates sign posted “Thornbury Castle Deliveries”.
Go through the gates and walk down the road until you reach double
gates on your right. The pool building is on your right and a
poolside assistant will be waiting to greet you. Due to space
limitations we request no prams or car seats, however, you are
welcome to leave prams outside of the pool building but they may
not be under cover.
About the teachers
Charlie Goodenough
Charlie initially joined us as a Poolside Assistant and although she was already teaching older children how to swim was reluctant to train to be a Puddle Ducks teacher. It didn’t take many weeks of watching from the poolside to make her change her mind – lucky for us! Charlie’s son Robbie loves his Puddle Ducks classes and can now have extra tuition from his mummy!
Sarah Stagg
Sarah had been teaching swimming when she lived in Germany with her husband Tony and three children. When they moved back to the UK and she saw an advert for Puddle Ducks, she jumped at the chance to join the team. She was so keen to teach our Puddle Ducks that she even undertook laser eye treatment – now there’s dedication for you! Sarah brings oodles of swimming experience with her and makes sure she gets to know all her Puddle Ducks so she can make every one of them feel special.
Jodie Coles
Jodie was one of Puddle Ducks’ very first customers when she started bringing her son Archie to classes when he was just seven weeks old. Half way through Archie’s third term she decided to go for it and become a teacher herself. Jodie knows exactly what it’s like to be a Puddle Ducks mum and this gives her a real affinity with all our Puddle Ducks mums and dads. She is caring, warm and has the best smile ever - your children will just love her!
