    Is your child over the age of 2½?

  3. Question 3

    Is your child under the age of 15 months?

    Yes: Go to Question 4
    No: Please look for a Kickers class

  4. Question 4

    Is your child under six months?

    Yes: Please look for a Floaties class
    No: Please look for a Splashers class

  5. Question 6

    Can your child:

    • enter the water safely, unaided
    • swim unaided for more then one metre (approx 3 seconds) repeatedly with enjoyment
    • jump in unaided (from standing), safely
    • blow bubbles?

    Yes: Please go to Question 7
    No: Please look for a Little Dippers class

  6. Question 7

    Is your child over three years?

    Yes: Please go to Question 8
    No: Please look for a Dippers class

  7. Question 8

    Can your child:

    • swim two-three metres or more unaided (approx 7-8 seconds) repeatedly and with enjoyment
    • jump in unaided and swim three metres?

    Yes: please go to Question 9
    No: Please look for a Dippers class

  8. Question 9

    Can your child swim five metres or more unaided, with controlled breathing?

    Yes: Please look for a Dabblers class
    No: Please look for a Dippers class

  9. Question 10

    Can your child swim more than 1m unaided?

    Yes: Please go to Question 11
    No: Please look for a Swim Academy Beginners class

  10. Question 11

    Can your child:

    • swim 5m unaided
    • blow bubbles with face in the water

    Yes: Please go to Question 12
    No: Please look for a Swim Academy Beginners class

  11. Question 12

    Can your child:

    • swim 10m unaided
    • jump in unaided and return to side
    • swim 5m on back unaided
    • swim comfortably with face in the water

    Yes: Please go to Question 13
    No: Please look for an Swim Academy Intermediate class

  12. Question 13

    Can your child:

    • dive to bottom of pool from standing, to retrieve an object
    • perform basic leg action for backstroke, butterfly and breast-stroke with a float
    • swim 10m front crawl (side breathing not required)
    • perform a mushroom float and a back float

    Yes: Please go to Question 14
    No: Please look for a Swim Academy Advanced class

  13. Question 14

    Can your child:

    • swim 10m front crawl with side breathing
    • swim 25m of a recognised stroke
    • swim 10m back crawl
    • scull feet first and head first for a few metres

    Yes: Unfortunately we do not have classes at a high enough level for your child at present
    No: Please look for a Swim Academy Development Group class
