We are a close-knit team that love to give our customers great memories and a fantastic time at their swimming lessons every week. No previous experience is necessary, as you will go through all relevant training before you start a role with us.

It may be that we do not have the role that you are looking for at the moment, however, we are always keen to meet energetic and talented people who would like to join our team.   • Puddle Ducks is one of the UK's leading national swim schools, teaching children how to swim in a fun, engaging and unique way. Puddle Ducks swimming teachers are at the heart of what we do - delivering individually tailored lessons to small groups and able to get the best out of every child.

    We're seeking an enthusiastic person to join our fantastic team of swimming instructors teaching our Swim Academy classes from 4-10 years. A passion for water, swimming and working with children is a must-have.

    We are looking for someone who:

    • Is a reasonably competent swimmer 
    • Has or is willing to obtain STA qualifications (fully funded)
    • Is confident, friendly, flexible and reliable
    • Able to build a great rapport with children, parents, carers and team members
    • Has a passion for working with children
    • Has a valid driving licence and use of own car
    • Clean Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) paid for and conducted by Puddle Ducks

     

    2 positions are available.  Starting hours and location 6-9 hours per week.  40 weeks of the year (term time only)

    • Monday 3:30-6pm West Parley
    • Friday 3:30-6pm West Parley
    • Sunday 9:30-1:15pm Wimborne

    OR

    • Monday 3:30-8pm in Poole
    • Thursday 4-6:30pm in West Parley
    • Sunday morning in Wimborne 8:30-12pm

    Qualifications you will need to undertake for this role include:

    • STA SAT lifesaving training / RLSS NRASTC (fully funded)
    • STA Award Qualification (fully funded)
    • STA Certificate Qualification (fully funded)
    • Puddle Ducks Swim Academy 2-3-day training (fully funded by Puddle Ducks)
    • In water co-teaching with experienced Puddle Ducks teacher

    New teacher pay rate: £16-21.25 per hour

    Experienced teacher rate: £18-25.50 per hour

  • Our Poolside Assistants are a key part of each customer's experience: welcoming them to a venue, ensuring a clean and safe poolside and changing area and providing support to our teachers whilst they work in the water.

    No experience is necessary however you will need to be 100% reliable and committed to the role as well as having an outgoing and friendly personality. It would be an advantage if you have experience living or working with children and their parents.

    As the role is term time only you will need to commit to working the full term (approx 39-40 weeks of the year). Own transport is essential.

    Venue: St Michaels Middle School, Colehill Lane, Wimborne, Dorset BH21 7AB

    Pay is £12 per hour.

    The following hours are available starting Sunday 12th November:

    Sunday 11:30am - 3:30pm (4 hours weekly)

    Must be available to cover occasional full days on Sunday from 8-3:30pm and it would be helpful if you were available to cover occasional weekday poolside shifts at our other venues.

    All employees also get 20% off Puddle Ducks swimming classes for their little ones.
