We can’t wait to welcome you to Puddle Ducks at ROKO Health Club Swimming Pool – in the meantime, here’s some information that we hope you find useful. Have a splashtastic time!
Location: ROKO Health Club
Parking: Ample free parking is available within the large Health Club car park. Please avoid parking in the bays designated for high sided vehicles. Parent/child bays available near entrance.
Essential information:
- Please sign the Puddle Ducks register at the leisure reception to gain access to the pool
- The use of the rest of the pool is only permitted for members of the club, please only come onto poolside 5 minutes before your class is due to start and only enter the pool when asked to do so by the teacher
- Baby wetsuits or body wraps are recommended for children under the age of 1 year
- Please shower before entering the pool –showers are in the changing rooms and poolside
- A well-fitting neoprene swim nappy must be worn with a disposable swim nappy or one of our environmentally friendly NappyWraps & Liners underneath if your child is in Floaties, Splashers or Kickers and in other programmes if they are not potty/toilet trained
Changing rooms: Separate spacious male and female changing rooms with direct access to the pool, hair dryers and large shower area. Family changing room is also available. Each changing room has a large locker area which take cards (these can be borrowed from reception for non-member).
Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks have exclusive use of the small pool for baby and pre school classes. For Aqua Natal Puddle Ducks use a roped off area of the pool, the remainder of the pool is open to leisure club members.

- Pool temperature: 30-31°C (small pool) - 29 - 30°C (main pool)
- Poolside assistant: There is no Puddle Ducks poolside assistant at this pool
- Depth: 1 meter throughout (small pool) - 1.2 meters throughout (main pool)

- 8 children/adult pairs:1 teacher (Splashers, Kickers, Little Dippers & Dippers)
- 16 adults: 1 teacher (Aquanatal)

Closest café
A wonderful spacious cafe is available at the Health Club offering a range of healthy snacks, cakes, coffees and lovely fresh smoothies. The cafe is ideal for a get together after the class.
Closest soft play
Creepy Crawlies - The Web Adventure Park, Wigginton Road, York, YO32 2RH. Inside Creepy Crawlies you will find a role play village “Bugginton” with a shop, cottage, a vets and a DIY store. Little-ones can enjoy a variety of role-play and dressing up, construction, musical instruments, craft, puppets and messy play offered week days in term time. There are separate Play Zones including a baby and toddler area.
