Fell in the canal and swam back up
“Olivia fell in the Bridgewater canal today and I'm sure Puddle Ducks made a big difference to how it went. We live on the towpath side and have walked beside the canal many many times with Olivia with no problems. Peter and I knew she'd fall in one day and today was the day. We were playing a run and catch up game and she just veered towards the water and plop, in she went. After a few seconds of not seeing her as she sank - I saw her surface and jumped in to push her out just like in the pool. She was crying but not spluttering or coughing at all! It was scary and I'll probably wake up in a cold sweat in the night thinking it but I'm sure Puddle Ducks gave me the confidence to half expect what did actually happen - i.e. that she'd surface and I would be able to get her out. We are only talking a matter of seconds but without your classes it could have been very different. I'm just so pleased we have kept coming.”
