Location: Marshfield, nr Bath, SN14 8AG (Sat Navs: please use SN14 8AH)
- 7 miles north of Bath and 9.5 miles west of Chippenham, it is centrally located to cater for both.
- 20 minutes south of Chipping Sodbury, another great venue for our South Gloucestershire customers.
Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks has exclusive use of the pool during lessons.
Poolside assistant: Yes, at all baby & pre-school classes & at weekends.
Parking: There is ample free parking adjacent to the boy's dormitory.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
- Identification – for security reasons all customers may be required to show ID, such as a driving license, at the security gate to gain access to the site. Failure to do this means you will not be admitted.
- Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before the start of your lesson.
- There are no nappy bins available, so please take them home with you.
- No food is permitted on the poolside or in the changing rooms, please save your child’s snack until after you have left the pool.
- A poolside assistant will be present during baby & pre-school classes and at all weekend sessions.
Parking and access
To access the parking area, drive up the lane on site and turn right at the triangle junction, following signs for the Sports Hall. Cars should be parked in the area to the right of the boy's dormitory building (Puddle Ducks signs will be there to guide you). Please do not park on the lane adjacent to the Sports Hall. Once parked please follow signs for the Sports Hall.
Changing
- There are male and female changing rooms available.
- Although changing rooms will be available, adults and Swim Academy children are encouraged to arrive swim-ready, to minimise time spent in an enclosed space.
- All children who are out of nappies must visit the toilet before lessons please, to avoid disruption during class.
- After lessons, changing rooms and showers will be available for you to use. Please change swiftly.
- Please take your child’s towel poolside and hang on the pegs provided to stay warm after class and in case of a fire.
- Showers will be available and are encouraged before and after your lesson.
Spectators
- Spectators are allowed to watch classes from the upper viewing area.
- If you require assistance due to a disability (either your own disability or your child’s), then you are able to bring a spectator to any class, to help as necessary.
Attire
- Baby and Pre-School: a well-fitting neoprene swim nappy must be worn with a disposable swim nappy or an environmentally friendly Nappy Wrap & Liner underneath, if your child is not yet fully potty/toilet trained. We recommend one of our great value Baby Swimming Kits, which contain the swim lesson essentials at a fantastic price.
- All Swim Academy children must wear swim hats in the pool. We provide a complimentary swim hat when you join us. You can find our range of goggles and other Swim Accessories in our online shop.
