Swim Academy and Elite Swim Academy Classes

Swimming has always been a part of my life, completing my first length of a pool at three years old and being part of a Club for most of my childhood.

I started helping with swimming lessons at age 14 and qualified as a teacher as soon as I could at 16.

I have always enjoyed teaching and still find it so much fun. Every lesson is different and that's one of the things I love about Puddle Ducks classes! You just never know what you will face in terms of challenges each week.

Swimming is such an important skill to have. Not only is it a huge safety skill, it can lead to enjoyment in many other water-based activities.

My lessons are full of fun for both children and adults. Listening to each child, learning and progressing at their own pace, and ensuring enjoyment throughout are all important aspects to a memorable & exciting swimming journey.

Come & join me, I can't wait to share my wealth of experience with you. x

Swim Academy and Elite Swim Academy Classes

I've always loved swimming, growing up it was a huge part of my life, I swam competitively for my county and for fun with my family.

When we had our first child it was important we got him swimming as soon as we could. We wanted him to learn water safety skills whilst having as much fun as possible. That's when I fell in love in Puddle Ducks... our teacher was fantastic, she was enthusiastic, passionate and very patient and understanding with the babies and parents. I was already having serious doubts about wanting to return to my job in finance. My outlook on life changed dramatically when I became a mum and I longed for a job that I could love doing, I haven't looked back since!

I've been teaching just over 6 years now. During that time I've qualified to teach our Aqua natal, Baby and Pre-school, Swim Academy and Elite programmes. I love that fact that at Puddle Ducks we offer a complete swimming journey. Puddle Ducks has also given me opportunities to progress. I've been fortunate to be appointed Senior Teacher and Technical Manager within our franchise. It's an incredibly fun and rewarding job to have and I feel privileged to be part of such an amazing journey with my customers.

All 3 on my children love their Puddle Ducks lessons, it's the highlight of their week! I love that they are as passionate about swimming as I am!

    Swim Academy Teacher

I've always enjoyed being in the water since I was little, so when I had my first son the idea of joining swim classes with my friends was fab!

My second son arrived soon after and also started lessons, I loved swimming with them and both Joel & Rhys continue to swim in our Swim Academy classes today.

When an opportunity to work with Puddle Ducks in the water was presented I jumped at the chance!!!

I love seeing the children progress and really taking on board everything they have learnt.

I like to have fun and feel this is key to developing confident, happy and engaged children in the water.  From that we can show children how to be safe in and around the water, various different skills and develop their swimming technique all with added health benefits!

I love my job in the water and hope to share that enthusiasm with you!

    Sarah

    Swim Academy Teacher

Swimming has always been a huge part of my life after living abroad in my childhood where it was a daily activity. I also swam competitively as a teenager.

When I was pregnant with my first child Maggie I was desperate to introduce her to swimming which I did when she was just 6 weeks old.

We both loved it and baby swimming quickly became my new obsession (that and my baby of course.)

After deciding that corporate world of marketing was no longer my calling....I started working for the franchise spreading the Puddle Ducks word. It was fab, I used to go along to anywhere and everywhere there would be baby groups and events and just talk to new parents about the benefits of baby swimming and the importance of this life skill.

When a Baby and Pre-School teaching vacancy came up, I jumped at it...even though I had only had my twins two months earlier....did I mention? I am slightly obsessed with Puddle Ducks?

The reason I love my job so very much is because of just how much the children and parents  get out of our classes. Its great fun! Its wonderful when a swimmer achieves a new skill and its just the icing on the cake to know you are not only teaching a life skill, but also personal survival skill. I love my classes and hope you will too.
