Our franchisee Nicola Codd was asked to share her favourite things about Doncaster.
At Puddle Ducks, we like to think that our activities extend beyond our classes, to bathtime and holidays too. Likewise we love to see our little Puddle Ducks making friends outside of pool, with mummies and daddies socialising too.
We are always pleased to recommend fun places to go after classes, which is why we have so many great partners and offers available through our loyalty scheme.
As a mum of two young boys herself, with number three on the way, our franchisee Nicola Codd was asked by the Doncaster Free Press recently to share her favourite places to go in Doncaster:
"We are really spoilt for choice in Doncaster. One of our absolute favourite places is the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep. It is a key atraction and it just keeps getting better and better. they seem to cater for everyone, whilst doing something really important in terms of the conservation and welfare of animals. I am an annual pass holder and my two boys especially enjoy seeing the giraffes and the big cats. They loved it last time we went and the lions were very vocal- lots of roaring. They like the wallabies too especially when there are babies in the mums' pouches. The most recent addition of the polar bears has become a firm favourite but my youngest is not a fan of walking too far and it's quite a long walk from one end of the polar bear area to the other. It’s amazing how vast the wildlife park is. The play areas are also a popular attraction where they can burn off some energy. Needless to say, we are frequent visitors!
We are big fans of the outdoors and another great great place we visited recently over the bank holiday was Potteric Carr. There's a fantastic mud kitchen which my youngest particularly enjoyed. It had been a while since I went and the mud kitchen wasn't there last time, in fact there seem to have been a few changes since the last time I visited. We enjoyed the dens made out of sticks next to the mud kitchen and both boys loved going in them to explore. The boys didn't grasp the concept of being quiet as we were walking though so there was no chance of us spotting any wildlife! We did about an hour walk around some of the footpaths and woods and the boys enjoyed seeing the animal wood sculptures that are dotted around. The café provided a nice lunch afterwards too!
Finally I have to mention Cast. I saw the pantomime at Christmas and it was excellent - it was our 3rd pantomime there in a row as we love it so much. It was very professional and the kids loved it, they were completely engrossed the whole time. They still talk about the songs that were in it even now, 4 months later!!"
