Puddle Ducks Fundraising & Charity

Puddle Ducks Fundraising & Charity

At Puddle Ducks Doncaster & South Humberside, we are committed to supporting local charities.

We want to make a positive difference to the community we're part of and supporting a local charity is part of this, as well as the partners we work with and the people and organisations that we support.

Throughout the year we hold various fundraising activities such as our charity Pyjama Party event, where children are sponsored for wearing their pyjamas to their swimming classes. Besides this we hold fundraising activities poolside to raise funds for charity and our teachers, poolside assistants and office team members all join in our sponsored swim later in the year.

We raised almost £1500 last year!

Last year, our customers voted that we supported The Children's Hospital Charity and we raised a staggering amount to help fund a new Sensory Ward at the hospital. We were delighted to support #TeamTheo and were grateful of the support of some of our partners such as Zen Baby Doncaster

"You’ve raised an amazing amount from the swim. It’s absolutely fantastic, I bet you are all so happy! A massive well done" Cheryl, Community Fundraiser, The Children's Hospital.

It's now time to choose a charity that we should support throughout the next year in our activities.

The shortlist of charities are:

St Andrew's Hospice, who provide free care for anyone over the age of 18 with a wide range of progressive life-limiting conditions, including cancer, Motor neurone disease, cardio-vascular diseases, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease. This care is available in a range of settings, from overnight stays and respite to out-patient visits.

Team Verrico, who help young families, facing rare or hard to treat cancers to fight and win more tomorrows. Funding research into treatment and diagnosis, especially Triple Negative breast cancer, as well as supporting research into the challenges faced by long term survivors of the disease, they also promote and protect the physical and mental health of sufferers and their families through the provision of financial assistance, support and practical advice.

Doncaster Mind, is an independent, local mental health charity, supporting people who are experiencing mental health difficulties by promoting awareness and aiding personal wellbeing and recovery. They provide a range of services and support to people experiencing, or vulnerable to mental ill health and help individuals recover from mental health difficulties.
