Congratulations to our swimmers of the term for Summer 2018!
Well done to Thomas, who was nominated by teacher Vicky because:
"After being a very confident Kicker and looking as though he would sail through Little Dippers, Thomas has had a very hard time over the last 12 months, finding his feet and keeping his confidence. We have had excellent weeks, where he has shown amazing progression and he has been full of confidence, then some weeks where he was very nervous and upset throughout class. Thomas has always shown brilliant skill, perfect alignment and at times he has done some amazing independent swims. He started the summer term more upset than before - Mum and I rattled our brains and tried everything to help Thomas to enjoy swimming, to be able to use his skill confidently. Slowly but surely his confidence has grown, so much so that on his second to last summer holiday lesson he completed an 8 second independent swim, an independent jump and swim from standing, and most importantly he was smiling throughout. So after a year of trying his best and practising with his mum and dad, Thomas finished the summer holidays in Dippers and absolutely smashed it (I got a bit emotional watching him do so well!) I am so proud of Thomas and can't wait to see how amazing he will be in Dippers this term. I can't think if a swimmer who deserves this more!"
Well done to Matilda, who was nominated by teacher Sarah because:
"Matilda has consistently put her all into every lesson throughout this term. Her efforts in and out of lessons are paying off. Each week I see Matilda's confidence increasing as she listens to what is asked and perseveres with each activity until she gets it right. Now that Matilda has moved up to Dippers, I am hoping she continues going from strength to strength. Very proud of you Matilda."
Both of our Stars of the term will receive a certificate in class, keep up the good work!
