Meet the teachers at John Whitgift Academy

  • Nicola Riley

    Nicola Riley

    Senior Baby & Pre-school teacher

I joined the Puddle Ducks team as a Poolside Assistant in 2015 and completed my training to become a Swimming Teacher in 2016. I teach baby and pre-school classes at John Whitgift Academy, Treetops Cottages, Ivy House and Epworth pool.

The best part of my job is seeing each child develop

A mum of two myself, aged 7 & 4, I love outdoor adventure with my family, meeting up for tea and cake with friends. I have worked with children since the age of 16 and love it. Seeing each child develop in to little independent swimmers is amazing.

  • Gill Dove

    Baby & Pre-school teacher

I joined Puddle Ducks as a poolside assistant, before qualifying as a teacher in December 2018!

Prior to this I worked in fashion and clothing design from leaving university at 21, so quite a change! The best thing about it is that it doesn't feel like a job, it's so much fun.

We have just moved back to the Cleethorpes area where I grew up, to give my young children a more outdoor lifestyle. Having been a keen swimmer as a child/teenager it is great to come back to something which gave me so much pleasure as a youngster.
