Our journey with Puddle Ducks began when Tia was in my tummy and I joined their Aquanatal classes. This was a fantastic activity for me whilst pregnant allowing me to have fun, relax and good exercise to help me prepare for Tia's arrival. Aquanatal helped Tia even when she was in my tummy to recognise the sound of water and I think this is one of the reasons why Tia is so relaxed and confident in the water now. Our Aquanatal Teacher, Kirsty was fantastic at making the class fun and it was also a great way to make new mummy friends!
When Tia was born I knew that I wanted her to learn swimming from a young age as I know how important it is for children to feel confident in the water. The great thing about Puddle Ducks is they have lovely warm pools available for your baby to go in! As I was an Aquanatal customer I also got 20% off my first block of Floaties classes too.. YAY!
Tia started Floaties at 3 months old and to this day it is still the best activity that we do together! It’s created a fantastic bond between us and something we look forward to doing together! Tia has come on leaps and bounds in this class with the excellent support of Anna! Tia has learnt so much it would be difficult to list it all... the main things she has learnt are the important signals.
Tia now knows that when she goes under water that she needs to hold her breath and close her eyes... I still find it amazing to watch - she makes me so proud! She loves to splash and kick and has also enjoys using the woggles and floats to allow her the freedom of movement whilst in the water, all whilst learning to find her natural alignment in the water. She also loves the Puddle Ducks songs making it lots of fun! Tia has already achieved her STA Starfish 1 Certificate and badge at just 6 months old - proud Mum moment!
We absolutely love swimming with Puddle Ducks with our friends and we cannot wait for the new adventures with Anna in Splashers where I am sure she’s going to learn lots more valuable skills.
