A little bit about me
Hi I’m Becky. I'm married with 2 children, a boy and a girl, and we live in Quedgeley, Gloucester.
My children have been swimming with Puddle Ducks for over 3 years, though I started working with Puddle Ducks Gloucestershire in September 2019.
My role at Puddle Ducks Gloucestershire
I’m currently a Poolside Assistant at our classes held at the Hallmark Hotel Leisure Club. I’m really loving my job as I love talking to parents and children as they're arriving and it's great to see the progress they are making each week.
I’m also training to be a Baby and Preschool teacher and you will no doubt see me in other pools while I undergo this training.
Other jobs I have done in the past
I’ve been a preschool teacher, a teaching assistant and a chip shop manager in the past.
Memorable moments in the pool
I will always remember when my daughter first had the confidence to jump in from the poolside and reach for the float. I was so proud of her. Also, floating with my son on my chest, when he was a little Floatie. I will always love that memory too.
My favourite class activity
In the Dippers class with my little girl, my favourite activity is the one where I throw my daughter away from me and then she turns and swims back to me.
In Kickers, my son is loving monkey walking.
My hobbies/interests
I love swimming, craft with the children, baking with the children, painting and a spot of gardening.
My favourite animal
Golden Labradors. I had one when I was growing up and I really loved her.
My favourite place in the world
So cheesy, but my favourite place is at home with my family.
My favourite book
I don't really have a favourite, but I do like Trisha Ashley books. Chocolate Wishes is a good one.
My most memorable achievements
Memorable moments are getting my degree in Early Childhood Studies and then gaining my Early Years Teacher Status.
My favourite food
Chinese and chocolate!
