Could You Teach Children to Swim on a Part Time Basis?

Baby swimming and Swim Academy teachers (5-10 years old) come from all walks of life and are bound together with a complete love of their job and shared experiences. Puddle Ducks West Berkshire is looking for reliable, enthusiastic and friendly people to become BPS Baby Pre- School and Swim Academy swimming teachers.. No previous experience is necessary as all training will be given before starting the role but you need to enjoy being in the water and able to swim. You will also need to have a confident and friendly personality, be a flexible team worker, as well as love working with children and be able to relate to our parents. Disclaimer - you may end up being surrounded by happy parents, babies and toddlers, giggles and smiles.

The recruitment process 

We will guide you through achieving your STA BPS qualification in swimming and you will shadow existing teachers in the pool to learn how we run Puddle Duck’s classes before swimming solo! 

Location & Hours

Following your training, you will deliver up to 16 hours of tailor made classes at pools in Reading, Bagshot and Yateley throughout the week and will be required to work at least one weekend session so you must have a car and full UK driving licence. This is a part time role that follows the school terms and holidays that would suit those looking for term time work that fits in around school hours. Hours are currently available on Thursdays, Saturday and Sunday. 

Salary 

We offer highly competitive rates of pay and excellent career progression. No previous teaching or professional swimming experience is required as full training is provided. We are here to support you with your training at every step along the way.
