With half term nearly here we thought we'd share with you some of our favourite activities to give you some inspiration on how to keep your little ones amused for the week!
-
Visit a farm
It's the start of lambing season so lots of farms that are open to the public have special activities dedicated to welcome the newborn lambs as well as lots of other fun things to see and do! A couple of our favourites are Godstone Farm, Bockett's Farm, Deen City Farm and Vauxhall City Farm.

Get a bit crafty!
It's time to empty the contents of the craft box and go a bit wild (try to worry about the glitter clear up afterwards!!). We love to get a roll of paper (or an old roll of wallpaper) and stretch it out across the floor to make a giant picture or collage. You can pick a theme - like under the sea, walking with dinosaurs or in the deep, dark wood - or you can just let their imaginations run wild! Make sure you join in too as it is surprising how much fun us grown ups can have too when we get our craft on!
-
Take a trip to the museum
London has an array of free museums that are well worth a visit with the kids. We know the thought of museums during half term might not be appealing but we suggest getting there for opening times before the it's too busy and take a packed lunch so you don't have to spend time queuing in cafes. We love the Brooklands Museum (Weybridge), the Natural History Museum, London Transport Museum and the Science Museum.

Get involved in nature
Take a trip out into the countryside for a walk (hopefully the wind may have died down a bit by half term!). Here are are our top picks:
- Boxhill is a brilliant place to visit with some stunning views of the Surrey Hills
- The Sculpture Park in Farnham is full of rivers, lakes, wildlife and an ever changing array of sculptures to explore
- WWF's Living Planet Centre in Woking is an interactive exhibition where you can learn about the natural world and how to protect it
-
Jump in and make a splash!
Our personal favourite - take a trip to your local pool as a family! Your little one will love to show off what they've been learning in their lessons with us plus it is a great way to burn off some energy and get active.
And if you don't have lessons with us at the moment, why not get in contact today to see how you get swimming sorted for your little one. We offer classes for children from birth to 10 years in pools throughout South West London, Surrey and Middlesex. If you're not sure, why not arrange a FREE TRIAL with us (subject to availability) and see how much fun you can have!
