We smiled from ear to ear reading this wonderful winning nomination.....
'I’d like to nominate Andy. He is so good with Matthew and the other Floaties. 'Off’ moments are not infrequent in the class and he adjusts activities to suit the individual personalities! He’s calm, makes the lessons fun and stretches them as they develop. He is also great with parents taking their little ones in the pool for the first time and manages us as well as the babies (particularly submerging them for the first few times)! Andy also taught Matthew’s older brother and was just as fantastic with a 2 year old alternating between too much confidence (with no fear) and not being happy in the water - varying unpredictably from week to week. His patience helped the phase pass.
It’s the highlight of our week and Matthew loves his lessons - Thank you Andy.' - Matthew and Nicola
Well Done to Andy for receiving lots of other fantastic nominations....
'I would like to nominate Andy for Teacher of the Term. We've been bringing Margie to lessons for a year now and I can't believe how much she's learnt and grown under his tutelage. Back in the early days at times it was tough but with Andy's encouragement we stuck with it, listening to his assurances she would come to enjoy it and I am so glad we did. He is so welcoming, calm and knowledgeable. Margie absolutely adores him and genuinely spends the whole lesson smiling. It really is her favourite time of the week.' - Jane
'Duncan and Scott would like to nominate Andy as their Teacher of the Term. Scott loves Andy’s fun disposition and Andy has built Scott’s confidence in the water.' - Scott and Duncan
'I would like to vote for Andy for Teacher of the Term. My son absolutely loves his swimming and he has gone from strength to strength since Andy became his teacher. He has such a calm, approachable manner and a way of not making the lessons ever feel rushed. Andy will always take an individual approach to the class and has moved my son on in the various activities as he is one of the oldest in his group. We look forward to our lesson with Andy every week, he is definitely our Teacher of the Term!' - Jo and Jacob
'I would like to nominate Andy. He is calm, clear and great with the babies.' - Joe

'I would like to nominate Andy. He makes the lessons really fun but at the same time explains why each exercise is important. Our whole group has made real progress and Andy is great at making sure no one is left behind if they need extra help. Emilia suddenly got scared of jumping and Andy has really helped her get over her fear while still ensuring she enjoys herself - now she is back to loving jumping! Ethan & Emilia cheer every time we tell them we are going swimming to see Andy!!' - Shelley
'We would like to nominate Andy for Teacher of the Term. He makes everything fun and he individualises to each Floatie’s needs with advice and support. Absolutely great!' - Jenny, James and Henry
We had some wonderful nominations for Pete and we couldn't agree with them more!
'We'd like to nominate Pete for always being the life of the class. He is so clear with his instructions and always takes the time to speak them clearly as if it were the first time he were saying it. He is so encouraging and enthusiastic. My son and husband love it and have progressed immensely in confidence and even a little vocally 😉 When we have to do a swap class we look for one run by Pete because he just makes it.' - Vanessa, Chris and Henry
'I nominate Pete. He’s a lot of fun, the kids really seem to enjoy their class. His teaching is fantastic and he’s really encouraging no matter what their skill level!' - Sapna and Aneeya
'I would like to nominate Pete because he has an exceptional way of teaching the children. He uses child friendly language which the children understand. He also has very good behaviour management skills so the children know their boundaries.' - Nosheen and Idris
We absolutely love these nomination's for Neen!
'Neen. Outstanding in every way!' - Nicola and Sienna
'I would like to nominate Neen for Teacher of the Term. Mollie has really developed in a relatively short period of time, this is without doubt down to the fun and enjoyment that Neen brings to her class. Mollies’ swimming independence has really improved in this time, even without goggles! We even continue the puddle ducks theme at bath time and Mollie calls herself Neen and teaches her dolls to swim! I can only imagine that not only dealing with young children, but many adults must be hard work at times, but Neen is constantly relaxed and gives 110% to each child to help them develop individually, and I feel she is doing such a good job that it should be noticed. Well done Neen and thank you!' - Sam
Well Done Sinead on these fantastic nominations.
'Sinead is definitely the best teacher of the Term! She is really enthusiastic; sings and smiles all the way through the class. Sinead is also really good at explaining the exercises and guiding the parents. Our little Splasher Emma loves learning from Sinead!' - Magdelana and Emma
'I would like to nominate Sinead. She is teaches my toddler very calmly and passionately. Thank you.' - Nisha
'We absolutely love Sinead. Our daughter Ava attends her Kickers class. When Ava first swopped onto Sinead's class she hadn't swam for quite a while and was crying alot even before she went into the water. Sinead was patient, reassuring and very attentive to Ava (and her parents). After only a few lessons, Ava has grown in confidence in the water and now loves her weekly swim classes with Sinead. Sinead is a superb teacher. She makes each class interesting and fun and I can see the difference she has made to Ava. Sinead definitely deserves teacher of the year!' - Hayley, Miles and Ava
'I'd like to nominate Sinead for Teacher of the Term please. She is always happy, vibrant and personable. She always remembers Arlo's name and is so sweet with all the babies. We are very happy she is our teacher.' - Cora
'Harvey and I would like to nominate Sinead for Teacher of the Term. She is lovely with the babies - Harvey kicks his legs extra hard when we swim past her, as he gets a lovely smile - and she is clear with her instructions and always explains why we do the activities. She also remembers the babies’ names well.' - Sarah
'I would like to nominate Sinead. Sinead is a fantastic teacher and takes time to explain the reason behind each activity in the pool, keeping the carers engaged! She is always friendly and approachable. We have been having lessons with her for 9 months now and I have recommended her classes to multiple friends! Thank you Sinead for making this my favourite class of the week!' - Michelle and Flynn
'I’d like to vote for Sinead as Teacher of the Term. She took over the class that Theo attends from Leonie and had big shoes to fill. But she has been fantastic. So cheerful, engaging and fun with the children. I’m in awe!' - Rachael
Congratulations Becky, these nominations really made us smile.
'Ever since Becky started teaching my 7.5 month son, Finnegan, I’ve seen his sheer delight at being in the water at each lesson. It’s been wonderful to see him grow more confident in the water and splash about with excitement each time. Becky is patient and encouraging to both mum and baby.' - Laura
'I would like to nominate Becky for Teacher of the Term. She took over our Floaties and Splashers class earlier this year and has been an excellent teacher. She is fun, energetic, kind and supportive and has really taken time to get to know Phoebe - always positive and encouraging and aware of her likes/dislikes. Phoebe loves swimming, and we both really look forward to our lesson each week.' - Steph
