  Hello I'm Melissa, I started swimming at Puddle Ducks when my little one was 4 months old. I joined a Monday night Floaties class at High Tunstall and fell in love with the class straight away. Swimming with Alex was always something I wanted to do. As he got older and started a Splashers class, the end of my maternity leave was looming over me, I knew going back to my old job wasn’t the most ideal situation for me. Then I saw an advert on the Tees Valley Puddle Ducks page for an admin role and knew I had to apply. I was very fortunate that Alison saw potential in me and after some persuading I eventually accepted a teaching role. 

  I started teaching Swim Academy in the Autumn of 2016 and went straight off to train for Baby and Pre School at the beginning of 2017. I have never looked back and have loved every second of teaching. I also still swim with Alex but he’s now a Little Dipper and it’s our favourite hobby. 

  I teach Swim Academy at Jury's Inn on a Monday.

  Hello I'm Claire, After working in sales and customer service for over 7 years I realised I wanted a change and to gain more job satisfaction with what I do. I had attended a few classes with my twin nephews and sister and thought the role of a swimming teacher must be extremely rewarding and believed it was a healthy challenge and something new I would love.

  Since completing my training in November 2018 I thoroughly enjoy teaching my Baby and Pre School classes week in and week out. 

  Watching the children progress is a fantastic feeling, knowing you have been part of their puddle ducks journey. 

  I teach Baby and Pre School classes at Jury's Inn on a Wednesday.

   

  Hi I'm Megan, I have been working for Puddle Ducks since November 2018 as a poolside assistant and I love my job. I love watching the children's confidence grow and developing relationships with the parents each week! 

  I have a little girl myself and she loves coming to Puddle Ducks, making new friends and learning to swim. 

  I poolside at Jury's Inn on a Wednesday & Friday.

  Hi I’m Tia, I have been a Puddle Ducks teacher since September 2017 after I seen the job advertised on Facebook. I have 2 boys aged 3 and 6 and I moved to the North East from Jersey when my youngest was born.

  I absolutely love my job and love seeing all the children progress.

  My favourite animal is an elephant and my favourite colour is pink

  I teach Baby and Pre School at Jury's Inn on a Wednesday whilst Megan is the poolside assistant.

  Tia teaches the Baby and Pre School & Swim Academy (Saturday Only) classes on a Saturday & Sunday with Melissa as her poolside assistant.
