Melissa & Jessica
Tuesday
Hello I'm Melissa, I started swimming at Puddle Ducks when my little one was 4 months old. I joined a Monday night Floaties class at High Tunstall and fell in love with the class straight away. Swimming with Alex was always something I wanted to do. As he got older and started a Splashers class, the end of my maternity leave was looming over me, I knew going back to my old job wasn’t the most ideal situation for me. Then I saw an advert on the Tees Valley Puddle Ducks page for an admin role and knew I had to apply. I was very fortunate that Alison saw potential in me and after some persuading I eventually accepted a teaching role.
I started teaching Swim Academy in the Autumn of 2016 and went straight off to train for Baby and Pre School at the beginning of 2017. I have never looked back and have loved every second of teaching. I also still swim with Alex but he’s now a Little Dipper and it’s our favourite hobby.
I teach Baby and Pre School on a Tuesday.
Hi, I’m Jessica and I am a mum to a girl she’s 7 and a boy aged 3, and I am getting married in July 2020.
My Puddle Ducks journey to becoming a swimming teacher started in June 2019 when a current employee told me a job had came up at her work. I went along to a meeting to learn more about the role, and it was the perfect job for me; to teach children how to swim and build relationships with them and the parents!
My hobbies are doing pageants, where I will raise money for local charities to help people from babies to adults, and spending time with my family making memories!
I poolside at Rose Cottage on a Tuesday.
