We are a close-knit team that love to give our customers great memories and a fantastic time at their swimming lessons every week.

We are looking for bubbly people who enjoy working with children and are organised, reliable and enthusiastic.  If this is you, we would love to hear from you!

Previous experience is not necessary, as you will go through all relevant training before you start a role with us.

We offer competitive rates of pay, career progression and flexibility around family life and other work commitments. All our roles are term-time only.



  • Baby & Pre-School Teacher

    Baby & Pre-School Teacher

    We have part-time roles available in throughout our franchise in Luton, Dunstable, Harpenden, St. Albans, Welwyn and Barnet, teaching babies and toddlers from birth to four years.

    Becoming a baby swimming teacher is an amazing job! When you work for Puddle Ducks you’re part of such an enthusiastic bunch of talented teachers, both locally and nationally, who give you so much ongoing training and support.

    We offer highly competitive rates of pay and excellent career progression. No previous teaching or professional swimming experience is required as full training is provided. We are here to support you with your training at every step along the way. You need to enjoy being in the water and able to swim, have a confident and friendly personality, be flexible and a team worker.

    Becoming a swimming teacher for Puddle Ducks takes hard work and commitment, but brings huge job satisfaction and fits in brilliantly around family life and other work commitments.

    You will required to work at least one weekend session and have a car and driving licence.

  • Swim Academy Teacher

    Swim Academy Teacher

    Swim Academy teachers teach our primary school-aged children to swim beautifully and love swimming for life.

    The Puddle Ducks Swim Academy is suitable for children aged 4 to 10 years old, and is the natural progression from our Baby & Pre-school classes.

    We teach a natural and smooth swimming style, starting with simple skills that we build gradually along with your child's physical ability and confidence. These are balanced with fun activities that develop various skills, such as life-saving, floating and surface-diving.

    You will be required to work after school hours - early evening and a weekend session.

  • Aquanatal Teacher

    Aquanatal Teacher

    Our Aquanatal classes are a fabulous activity for mummies-to-be. They are expertly designed Aquanatal programmes that take a holistic approach to an expectant mums’ physical and mental well-being, combining relaxation with cardiovascular exercises to help prepare the body for birth.

    Our teachers must pass antenatal swimming training that is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives Trust, STA Aquacise training and our own extensive Aquanatal training. 

    We run our classes in the evenings and at weekends to provide sessions for working mums-to-be.

  • Poolside Assistant

    Poolside Assistant

    This is a part-time and permanent role. Applicants are invited to apply for one or several available sessions.

    Digswell Pool, AL6 0EJ

    • Tuesdays – 11:15am-12:45pm

    • Thursdays - 11:15am-12:45pm

    Role Purpose

    • To provide assistance to the Teacher in an emergency.
    • To ensure customers receive the highest customer service possible
    • To ensure the pool area is clean, tidy and safe for customers
    • To provide assistance to the teacher where necessary to improve the customer’s swimming lesson

    Full training will be arranged so no experience necessary. You will receive a competitive rate of pay, uniform and discounted swimming lessons.

    It is imperative you have a clean DBS record.
