What does the price of a lesson include?

Our Pricing Explained

Lessons are between £16 and £17 each. This is the price for one lesson with one adult in the pool per baby/child in our preschool classes. For Swim Academy lessons (for ages 4-10 years) the child is in the pool with the teacher(s), parents/carers can spectate.

We are very proud of our lessons and feel they represent good value for money: 

• Children learn to swim more quickly due to our unique guided learning approach;
• In our baby and preschool lessons not only do we teach the babies and children vital water safety skills, water confidence and independent swimming, we also educate the parents and give them confidence and the knowledge to take what is learnt in lessons away on holidays and to family swim sessions;
• Each and every activity teaches a skill- there is no "wasted" time in our lessons;
• The health and safety of our customers is a priority- you won't find a swim school which takes health and safety responsibilities as serious as Puddle Ducks

It's not just a swimming lesson!

What makes up the cost of a lesson?

• Pool hire- this makes up the majority of our costs;
• Teacher and poolside assistant (where we have one) wages;
• Insurance;
• Equipment;
• Teacher training- our teachers' expertise is second to none. We believe our teachers are amongst the most highly trained and most passionate in the swimming industry. Training doesn't stop once they are "qualified". Our teachers keep on learning to make themselves the best and most knowledgeable teacher they can be.

Why are Puddle Ducks lessons more expensive than others?

• We truly believe our prices represent the high standard of lessons delivered. We are confident that we continue to represent value for money and our success and continued growth speaks for itself.
• Our lessons are not simply "splash and play" sessions. Babies and children learn to swim right from Day 1 with engaging, progressive activities, each with an end goal that individual children will work towards at their own pace;
• Our lessons are child-focussed and with our unique guided learning approach, each activity can be adapted to suit the individual needs of each child in the class;
• Our lesson plans are not "off the shelf", they are unique to us. We believe our customers deserve the best lessons so they written and regularly updated by professional technical swimming experts.
