All you need to know about Kent Science Park: A Sittingbourne based large, warm swimming pool from which we run our Baby & Pre-School and Swim Academy swimming lessons. Midweek and Weekend classes here are suitable for babies from birth, toddlers and children up to the age of 10 years old. Our expert swimming Teachers tailor the lessons to progress every individual at their own pace. Kent Science Park (KSP) is a secure site so as you pull off Broadoak road, follow the ‘visitor’ markings on the road and park in the temporary car park on the left . All visitors must sign in at reception and receive a pass for the access barrier which will also let you into the pool. Once you have your pass return to your car and using your card to open the Barrier, drive straight up the hill along Guillat Avenue and after building number 700 the road goes round to the left. The car park for Puddle Ducks is then on the right hand side on Shimmen Road.
Please note – Puddle Ducks site passes are specifically coded to let us access the pool during our hire times. KSP employee access cards will not access the pool during Puddle Ducks hire. Therefore if you are a KSP employee and swimming with us, please do still get a Puddle Ducks access pass from reception on your way into the site and ensure you return it on the way out so you can access the pool for your classes.

Please do not park in any other car parks or on the roads around as cars will be removed. Please also ensure you stick to the 15 mph limit when on site – there are mobile speed cameras and cars caught speeding or inappropriately parked will no longer be allowed on site and will be made to park at the front gate.
Once parked – walk out of the car park entrance and turn left and across the road (Guillat Ave). The pool is directly ahead of you (opposite the car park) and the entrance to the pool is off Galley Drive. Use your access card to open the pool doors where you will be met by the Poolside Assistant. The changing room entrances are as you come in the front door.

Essential Information
- A well-fitting neoprene swim nappy must be worn with a disposable swim nappy or one of our environmentally friendly NappyWraps & Liners underneath if your child is in Floaties, Splashers or Kickers and in other programmes if they are not yet fully potty/toilet trained. - All nappies and swim nappies must be taken home and not left at the pool. Nappy bags are provided by your Puddle Ducks Teacher, if needed.

- Poolside Assistant: There is a Puddle Ducks Poolside Assistant.
- Pool Temp: 30°C.
- Pool Dimensions: 23m by 8m.
- Depth: 0.9m - 1.4m.
- Max Pre-School Class Ratios: 10 children/adult pairs: 1 teacher.
Pool accessibility: The outside access to the pool is via steps, and there is one step from the changing rooms to poolside. Please be aware that this pool has a freeboard, and is only accessible via a ladder. Whilst there is plenty of room poolside to spectate, seating is minimal.
Spectators: There is space poolside for family and friends to watch these classes.
Changing Rooms: There are large female and large male changing rooms with separate cubicles and communal changing areas. There are showers in each changing room.
Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks have exclusive use during hire times.
Mobile Phones: Please remember that whilst it is fine to have your phone with you to take photos in Splash Time (as long as there are no other customers in the background), please do not use your phone in the changing rooms.
