All you need to know about Mercure at Brands Hatch.
A Dartford based swimming pool from which we run our Baby & Pre-School and Swim Academy classes for the older children after school. Classes here are suitable for babies from birth, toddlers and children up to the age of 10 years old. Each of our classes are tailored to the individual child's age, confidence and ability. The 30 minute lessons are structured to include a range of swimming activities, songs and games. Our aim is for every child to love swimming, respect the water and swim beautifully.
Lessons here will run term time only.
Location: Mercure at Brands Hatch, Brands Hatch, West Kingsdown, Dartford, Kent, DA3 8PE
Directions: From the M26, take the A20 exit at Junction 2a towards the A227. At the Wrotham Heath Interchange, take the 3rd exit onto London Road/A20. Follow directions for London Road/A20 for about 5 miles. You will then need to turn right onto Colin Chapman Way (Brands Hatch turn off). The Mercure at Brands Hatch Hotel & Spa will then be on your left.
Parking: Parking is on the left, and continue round to the back of the hotel. Enter through the spa entrance. Enter your car reg into the screen at the spa reception each time you attend.
Essential information
- A well-fitting neoprene swim nappy must be worn with a disposable swim nappy or one of our environmentally friendly Nappy Wraps & Liners underneath if your child is in Floaties, Splashers or Kickers and in other programmes if they are not potty/toilet trained. - All nappies and swim nappies must be taken home and not left at the pool.
- All swimmers/parents are asked to shower before entering the pool, there are showers in the changing rooms
- There separate male and female changing facilities with showers.
- There is limited space poolside for family and friends to watch these classes.

Technical information:
- Pool Temp: 29-30°C. It is recommended that children wear bodywarmers/sunsuits/wetsuits for classes here.
- Max Pre-School Class Ratios: 8 children/adult pairs: 1 teacher.
- Poolside Assistant: There is no Puddle Ducks Poolside Assistant.
Spectators: Spectators can't be poolside, but can be in the waiting room next to the pool. It has a window through to the pool to see the classes. Spectators can also wait in the reception area if they wish.
Changing Rooms: There are separate male and female changing rooms.
Mobile Phones: Please remember that whilst it is fine to have your phones with you to take photos in Splash Time (as long as there are no other customers in the background), please do not use your phones in the changing rooms.
