Baby & Pre-School swimming lessons available
All you need to know about St Lawrence College: A Ramsgate based large swimming pool from which we run our Baby & Pre-School and Swim Academy swimming lessons. Classes here run on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays; and are suitable for babies from birth, toddlers and children up to the age of 10 years old. Our expert swimming Teachers tailor the lessons to progress every individual at their own pace. Location: College Road, Ramsgate, Kent, CT11 7AE
Parking & Directions: The school is shut and parking is located either by the Grange off College Road or on Holly Road. Entrance is off College Road (St Lawrence Nursery gates) and the pool is directly to your left.
If approaching from Ramsgate, follow the A254 road out of Ramsgate and turn right onto College Road. The School will be on your right.
From Broadstairs. follow the A255 towards ASDA. Turn onto the A256 heading west past ASDA and the University campus. At the roundabout follow the A254 Margate Road towards Ramsgate and turn left onto College Road. The School is on your right.
From Whitstable, follow the A299 Thanet Way to Ramsgate. At the end of the A299, take the Canterbury Road East past Nethercourt Park.

Essential Information
- A well-fitting neoprene swim nappy must be worn with a disposable swim nappy or one of our environmentally friendly NappyWraps & Liners underneath if your child is in Floaties, Splashers or Kickers and in other programmes if they are not yet fully potty/toilet trained. - All nappies and swim nappies must be taken home and not left at the pool. Nappy bags are provided by your Puddle Ducks Teacher, if needed.

Technical Information
- Pool Temp: 29°C - 31°C. Younger babies / toddlers may benefit from using a body-warmer when swimming here.
- Pool Dimensions: 19m by 6.8m
- Depth: 1m - 2.1m (the pool is roped off at 1.4 metres).
- Max Pre-School Class Ratios: 10 children/adult pairs: 1 teacher.
Pool accessibility: The changing facilities at St Lawrence are accessed via some steps and are not on the same level as the pool. This pool does have a freeboard, and there are ladders to get into the pool. There is seating poolside.
Spectators: There is space poolside for family and friends to watch these classes.
Changing Rooms: Separate male and female changing rooms. Direct access to the pool from the changing rooms.
Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks have exclusive use during hire times.
Mobile Phones: Please remember that whilst it is fine to have your phones with you to take photos in Splash Time (as long as there are no other customers in the background), please do not use your phones in the changing rooms.
