A little bit about me
I currently live in Hardwicke with my husband, daughter and step-daughter. Before moving to Gloucester, I lived in Australia and before that I backpacked all over the world, so it is nice to have a place to call home.
My role at Puddle Ducks Gloucestershire
I joined Puddle Ducks in September 2019 and I’m a Poolside Assistant at Jury’s Inn in Cheltenham.
Why I love my job
I love watching babies learn how to swim and get so confident in the water!
Memorable moments in the pool
Taking my daughter swimming for the first time when she was 3 months old, was really memorable. She loved it and couldn’t get in fast enough. She has continued to love the water ever since, which is really important to me as I grew up loving the water and being able to swim really opens up so many opportunities.
My favourite class activity
My favourite is when they jump off the floats, or when they ride the seahorses. You can just see how much they enjoy it.
Jobs I have done in the past
I currently also work in credit management as well as at Puddle Ducks Gloucestershire, but I have had many jobs in the past including managing a hostel in Australia, organising weddings and events, bar tending and exam invigilating.
My hobbies/interests
I love to travel and I love to read.
Most memorable moment/achievement
When I graduated from the Open University with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Business, undertaken whilst working full time, I was so proud of myself.
Favourite place in the world
There are too many to choose! Either America as it’s so varied and there’s so much to explore, or Mauritius because that’s where my husband and I got married and it is truly one of the most beautiful places.
My favourite book
The Lord of The Rings because it is expertly written and such an in-depth book that really takes you on a journey.
My favourite animal
Elephants because they are just so wise and majestic.
My favourite food
Cheese!
