All Swim Academy children must be wearing appropriate swimwear– Boys should wear
trunks or jammers. Girls should wear a well-fitting one-piece swimming costume. Baggy
‘Bermuda style’ shorts or baggy swimming costumes are not allowed as these can cause drag
in the water and could delay your child achieving a distance swim. No wetsuits are permitted– if your child is cold we recommend a thermal base layer, not a neoprene wet suit.

Children must remove loose fitting or sharp jewellery before swimming. Hoop earrings are
not permitted.

All children must wear a swim hat– you will be given one at your first class or feel free to
bring your own.

Goggles are optional but will be encouraged during class.

Entering the building:

You will need to contact the local office on [email protected] for the gate code to access the school via the pedestrian gate. Please save this
information as it will be required each week to access your lesson. Walk past the sinks on your left
hand side, and the pool building can be found just down the steps. Please remove shoes and socks to
walk on poolside.

Please arrive as ‘swim ready’ as possible i.e. with your swimming costume/trunks on underneath
your clothes to speed up changing time and time spent in the changing room. There are separate
male and female changing rooms available. Children under 8 years can be accompanied by their
parent / carer in the changing rooms. Please use the changing room appropriate to the gender of the
adult. Children over 8 years to change in their own gender appropriate changing room.
Male changing can be found off the lobby area. Female changing is found from poolside
