May is National Water Safety Month, a campaign dedicated to raising awareness about drowning prevention and promoting safe, enjoyable aquatic activities before the summer season.
Michelle and Holly from our Puddle Ducks Greater Manchester teaching team took our fluffy friend Puddle the Duck to visit all the children at The Village Nursery and Pre-school in Gee Cross, Hyde to deliver a water safety talk.
The children learned all about how to stay safe around water, especially on days out over the summer at the beach or on holiday. The morning came to an end with a high five and a big cuddle from Puddle the Duck and each child took home their own special water safety certificate. Thank you to Emma and the Pre-School team for letting us join you.
Our Water Safety Awareness talks are fun and engaging for children and suitable for pre-schoolers and children in Key Stages 1 and 2. They are delivered by one of our expert Swimming Teachers and of course, our much loved mascot, Puddle the Duck! The talks are around 20 minutes long and are fun, engaging but also informative; we get the children up and moving and involve them in lifesaving skill activities.

Why book a Water Safety Talk?
Currently, on average 400 people die in the UK each year from drowning, we can help prevent this by providing these chats to Nurseries, Pre-schools and Primary Schools in Greater Manchester by educating them on how to stay safe in and around the water.
