Our little swimmers make a big splash for charity

Our little swimmers have raised a whopping £6619.92 for local causes over the last 6 years.

This year, Puddle Ducks Greater Manchester we have raised £1872.37 for Mummy’s Star during our charity swimming event - PJ Week.

All the team here at Puddle Ducks host a charity event each year, in which our children raise money for a local cause by learning water safety and survival skills, dressed in their favourite pyjamas. This year we chose Mummy’s Star as our charity. The funds raised will go towards supporting women diagnosed with any cancer during pregnancy or within a year of a birth. Mummy’s Star help families to meet others in a similar position, offer small grants to relieve some financial burden, give support to partners and the wider family and promote awareness and support research.

Mummy’s Star is the only charity across the UK and Ireland set up to support women and their families affected by cancer during pregnancy or 12 months after giving birth.

Suzanne, our owner, said, “We’re so proud of all the children, past and present, who have taken part in our charity pyjama event and helped us to raise so much money for our chosen charities. They all come eager to learn and ready to experience swimming in their pyjamas. We especially love it when the parents get involved too! Even after 6 years, this is still one of our biggest highlights of the year.”
