We are absolutely delighted to announce Gemma as our Star Teacher for Spring 2025.
We had nearly 60 entries with every teacher receiving a number of lovely nominations!
We asked Helen Barrett, from Baby Sensory North Reading to be our judge. She was tasked with reading all of the wonderful nominations and it was not an easy decision for her. Helen said "There were many positive attributes that stood out to me, things that I would be looking for in a teacher and who would make me feel comfortable about them teaching my child to swim. It was also the only one that mentioned being "wholeheartedly recommended" which I think speaks volumes."
The winning nomination came from Aleksandrina, who swims with her little one Maxwell at Honey End Lane.
" Gemma deserves to be nominated a star teacher. She is truly exceptional! From the very first session she has been not only been warm, professional, and clearly passionate about working with little ones, but relaxed and very easy going. Her ability to connect with babies is magical; she turns every session into a fun and engaging experience while gently building water confidence and vital swimming skills. It’s amazing to see how much progress our baby has made in such a short time.I feel incredibly lucky to have found such a wonderful teacher and wholeheartedly recommend her to any parent looking to start their baby’s swimming adventure!"
