We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our customers, we raised £2,290 during our Charity Pyjama Week, held from Monday 6th October to Sunday 12th October. The funds were raised through a combination of raffle ticket sales, sponsorship, and donations, all in support of the fantastic work done by Wiggly T.
Wiggly T is a small, not-for-profit organization based in Stroud, and their mission is to provide specially designed t-shirts and baby vests for children undergoing treatment for cancer. Every year, 1,800 children in the UK are diagnosed with cancer, and Wiggly T’s mission is to make life a little easier for those affected.
The Wiggly T t-shirts are made from super-soft cotton jersey and feature a unique design that allows for easy access to a child's central line, a critical part of their treatment. With snap poppers running from the neck to the armpit, the front panel can be opened without removing the shirt, making it easier for children to undergo blood draws, medication administration, and other procedures. The design also means less disturbance during sleep, as nurses can access the central line without needing to wake the child fully.
Thanks to the generosity of all who participated in our Charity Pyjama Week, we have been able to fund 90 additional t-shirts for children in need. These t-shirts will help make their treatment process more comfortable, providing both practicality and comfort during a challenging time.
