Each term we run a Pyjama Week. This week is a vital part of your child's swimming journey.
All of our classes have a water safety element to them every week, but our Pyjama Week focuses on what it might feel like to be in the water with their clothes on and provides them with key skills for water safety.
We provide all of our swimmers the opportunity to see how it would feel to be in the water, following an accidental submersion or fall into water, showing them that they can still swim to safety. We also focus on ways of getting an edge or side, and they learn what to look for and to shout, in order to get help.
We do all of this in a fun way and it is also great for adults to learn some practical skills, and to feel what being in water with clothes on is like.
