All you need to know – Fitzalan High School Pool

Location: The school entrance is opposite Capital Retail Park on Leckwith Road. Please note the pool is very near to Cardiff City Stadium and on match days traffic can be heavy - please check fixtures Fixtures | Cardiff (cardiffcityfc.co.uk) and leave extra time if necessary
Parking: Drive past the school and enter the car park through the gate on your right. Please ensure you input your car registration details on the screen in the building for free parking. Spaces are limited so please don't leave your car here before/after your lesson to use the retail park (drive over the road instead!).
Essential information:
- Enter the building through the double doors to the right of the pool. Remove your shoes in the viewing area and enter the changing room.
- There are lockers on site but they don't work, please leave valuables at home or bring them poolside when you swim (we can't be held responsible for your belongings)
- We do not recommend you change your young children on the benches, rather bring a change mat or extra towels to the pool and change on the floor
- A well-fitting neoprene swim nappy must be worn with a disposable swim nappy or one of our environmentally friendly NappyWraps & Liners underneath if your child is in Splashers or Kickers and in other programmes if they are not potty/toilet trained
- You can buy one of our great value Starter Packs which contain everything you need for your swimming lesson.
- Spectators are welcome to sit and watch from the lobby area - no spectators poolside please.
Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks have exclusive use of the pool during lessons.
Changing rooms:

- Changing is in individual cubicles, or there are a couple of larger changing rooms available if you prefer to use those.
Poolside Assistant: There a Puddle Ducks poolside assistant, Chloe, at this pool.

Depth: 1m graduating to 2m (roped off beyond 1.4m depth for all classes apart from Swim Academy Level 3 and over). - Maximum class ratio: Baby & Preschool - 10 children/adult pairs:1 teacher. Swim Academy Level 1 & 2 - 4 swimmers:1 teacher. Swim Academy Level 3: 12 children:2 teachers
