    Baby and Pre-School Swimming Teacher

We have part-time roles available in Tooting, Balham, Richmond, Southfields and surrounding areas, teaching babies and toddlers from birth to four years.

Becoming a baby swimming teacher is an amazing job! When you work for Puddle Ducks you’re part of such an enthusiastic bunch of talented teachers, both locally here in South West London and nationally, who give you so much ongoing training and support.

It takes someone very special to become a baby and toddler swimming teacher:

    • Someone with a love of water and a love of children
    • Someone who cares enough about giving babies a gift of complete freedom and pleasure in the water
    • Someone who wants to give them something that is both a skill for life and a life-saving skill
    • It doesn’t take years of swimming training
    • It doesn’t take years of childcare experience or training
    • It takes passion, commitment and a willingness to spend several hours in a swimming pool!

"Every lesson I feel a great sense of achievement, as you can actively see progressions in each child, every week. You feel part of everyone’s family and get to know each customer like they are your friends! I learnt the true meaning of job satisfaction the second I started teaching for Puddle Ducks, and I will always be grateful to have a career I love."
    Victoria Rowley – Senior teacher

  • Swim Academy Teacher

    Swim Academy Teacher

Swim Academy teachers teach our primary school-aged children to swim beautifully and love swimming for life.

The Puddle Ducks Swim Academy is suitable for children aged 4 to 10 years old, and is the natural progression from our Baby & Pre-school classes.

We teach a natural and smooth swimming style, starting with simple skills that we build gradually along with your child's physical ability and confidence. These are balanced with fun activities that develop various skills, such as life-saving, floating and surface-diving.

"When my son started Puddle Ducks, he could swim but wouldn't put his face in the water or jump in. His confidence soared - within half a term he had his 10m award and mastered many swimming techniques! I would highly recommend these classes to any parents wanting their child to learn in a fun but structured environment which engages children from the second they get in the water until the second they get out!"

Louise Buck with Drew (5 years 5 months)

Many of our Swim Academy students go on to swim for organised clubs and take part in competitions - you never know, you might have a future Olympian on your hands!

You will required to work at least one weekend session and have a car and driving licence.

Please email Cathy for details of hours available and more information.
