“I would love to nominate Helen as our star teacher please. My daughter, Rose, is only 15months old, but thanks to Helen, she has got so much confidence in the water. Helen's lessons are so fantastic that Rose develops every single week! Helen is encouraging, friendly and just an all-round amazing teacher. She makes time to explain things properly and always ensures that there is enough time to complete each activity. She also supports us parents to have confidence with our children too.
I couldn't wish for a better swimming teacher; I can't wait to see what Rose will achieve next thanks to Helen's skills”
"It was so lovely to read all of the nominations! It is clear that all of the teachers have some very big fans in both the swimmers and their grown ups, and they are making such a huge difference to them every week by being so positive and supportive!. The reason I chose this nomination as the winner of Star Teacher is because, it is not only important to develop a child's confidence but also the parent's confidence handling their child in the water. This teacher is clearly passionate about this, showing it through their friendly and encouraging manner in lessons and taking their time to make sure everyone is at ease!"
