We can’t wait to welcome you to Puddle Ducks at BigBox Leisure Club in Huddersfield – in the meantime, here’s some information that we hope you find useful. Have a splashtastic time!
Location: BigBox Huddersfield
Parking: Free parking. The car park will be lit and monitored by CCTV.
Essential information:
- For your first time attending here, please go to Leisure reception to be registered for your own personal wrist band to gain access and use in the lockers. This is at a cost of £3.00. If you return your wristband at some point in the future, your £3 will be refunded.
- Please do not come onto poolside any sooner than 5 minutes before your class to avoid congestion on the poolside
- Please do not enter the pool unless told to do so by your teacher. We only have access to the sectioned area of the pool, the rest of the pool is for member’s only
- You will be asked to shower before entering the pool – there are shower’s in the changing rooms.
- Strictly no smoking on the premises
- Strictly no eating on poolside or in the changing rooms

A well-fitting neoprene swim nappy must be worn with a disposable swim nappy or one of our environmentally friendly NappyWraps & Liners underneath if your child is in Floaties, Splashers or Kickers and in other programmes if they are not potty/toilet trained.

Changing rooms: All of our customers MUST use the UNISEX FAMILY CHANGING ROOM ONLY. Within the area there are 32 lockers, 2 shower cubicles, 2 toilets, 2 changing cubicles and 1 vanity area.
Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks use a roped off lane, members have use of the rest of the pool.
Access: No Spectators poolside. There is a poolside assistant for all levels. There is a very spacious reception area, with windows onto poolside where you are wecome to watch. Spectators cannot stand and block the walkways between the pool and changing areas though.
Technical information:
- Pool temperature: 29-30°C. Wetsuits are recommended for baby’s under the age of 1 year
- Poolside assistant: We have a poolside assistant at all classes.
- Size: 25m x 12.5m We use a lane 2.5m x 25m.
- Depth: 1.2m throughout
- Maximum class ratios:
- 6 children/adult pairs:1 teacher (Floaties, Splashers & Kickers)
- 6 children/adult pairs:1 teacher (Little Dippers & Dippers)
- 8 children : 2 teachers (Swim Academy Levels 1 & 2)
- 8 children : 1 teacher (Swim Academy Levels 3,4,5 & 6)
