Proud owner of Puddle Ducks Bristol & Bath, Sarah Austin, has been recognised with a national award for the support she gives to fellow franchisees across the Puddle Ducks network.
Sarah received the Supports the Network award at this year’s Puddle Ducks annual conference, celebrating the role she plays in sharing her experience, offering guidance and championing others across the wider business.
Having run Puddle Ducks Bristol & Bath for 18 years, Sarah has built a strong reputation locally for providing award-winning swimming lessons to babies, toddlers and children across the area. Alongside leading her own swim school, Sarah has also become a trusted and valued figure within the Puddle Ducks franchise network.
The Supports the Network award recognises franchisees who go above and beyond their own business to help strengthen the wider Puddle Ducks community. Sarah was praised for her generosity, approachability and willingness to use her experience to support others, from offering practical advice to encouraging newer franchisees as they grow their own swim schools.
Commenting on Sarah’s success, Puddle Ducks’ Head of Franchising Claire Mills said: “Sarah is one of those people who quietly makes a huge difference across a network. While running a much-loved swim school in Bristol and Bath, she still finds the time to share advice, encourage others and be a real source of support for fellow franchisees.
“This award is about recognising the people who help make Puddle Ducks stronger, and Sarah does exactly that. She brings warmth, honesty and experience to every conversation, and she is always willing to help others succeed, and that is why she is such a worthy winner of the Supports the Network award.”
Adding to this, Sarah commented: “I’m incredibly proud to receive the Supports the Network award, because Puddle Ducks has always felt like much more than just my own business here in Bristol and Bath.
“Running the swim school for 18 years has given me so many opportunities to learn and grow, and I’ve always believed that sharing that experience is one of the most valuable things we can do for each other.
“Our focus will always be on giving local children the best possible start in the water, but being part of a wider franchise network means we can also support, learn from and celebrate each other. That sense of teamwork is really special, and I’m honoured to have been recognised for playing a part in it.”
Puddle Ducks is the only national swim school that offers classes from bump through to 10 years of age and all of our teachers are STA qualified. Teachers focus on developing independent swimming in a nurturing environment with individually tailored activities to suit all abilities.
