Choosing a winning nomination
Nominations this term were judged by Louise Vockins, Manager of Doncaster Mumbler.
Louise said "After reading all of the wonderful nominations, this one really stood out to me. It was clear just how much patience, encouragement and care this teacher has shown, not only helping build swimming skills, but also helping grow confidence and enjoyment along the way. The difference they’ve made to both the child and their family really shone through."
The winning nomination
The winning nomination came from Arwem's mum Kate, who swims at our Treetops Cottages and Spa in Grasby, Nr Caistor
“Amy is the most patient, kind and supportive teacher. Arwen has had such an up and down relationship with swimming, at times loving it and at times not wanting to get in the pool. Throughout it all, Amy has found ways to go over and above, encouraging Arwen, trialling new ideas to support her and us as parents, and she had stuck with us when at times, it looked impossible. Through Amy's creativity, knowledge and patience, Arwen adores swimming. She has the best time in her lessons, her confidence has grown and she loves being in the water. Amy is playful, nurturing and Arwen loves being in her company. ”
This wonderful winning nomination will now be sent on to our Head Office to be entered into the National Puddle Ducks Star Teacher award, good luck Amy!
