Winter Water Safety visits continue at schools and nurseries in Northwich!

This week, our Winter Water Safety talks continued across Northwich, with Puddle and Charlotte visiting schools and nurseries in the area to teach their children all about water safety, and how to help if they see someone else in trouble in water!

We know not every child has access to swimming lessons, and so we want to bring this lifesaving information to as many young people in our community as possible! Our interactive sessions encourage children to identify the dangers around water, particularly when it is covered in ice and snow, and learn how to safely rescue a casualty trapped in water. They also practise essential lifesaving skills, like floating on their back like a starfish, and treading water like a duck!

A huge thank you to the KS1 children of Hartford Primary School and Lostock Gralam CofE Primary School, as well as the brilliant preschoolers at St Wilfrid's Preschool, for being so wonderful, answering all of Charlotte's questions so well, and helping to rescue Puddle too! You were all brilliant!

If you are interested in booking a free Water Safety talk for the children at your nursery or school in Northwich, Cheadle, Sale, or Macclesfield, please get in touch at [email protected]!
