Our Star Teacher Winner for Spring '23!!

Our Star Teacher for Spring 2023 is ........ Rachael Slater!!

We often say that we have the #bestjobintheworld and the nominations that we have received for this award are an absolute testament to that!

A huge congratulations to Rachael for her winning nomination, which was selected by one of our local pool owners.

Finally, a massive thank you to Tenzin, who is in Level 2 Swim Academy and Tara, who is in Level 4 (and their mum Helen) and are with us at The Key Health Club for taking the time to send us their nomination:

"I would like to nominate Rachael for teaching my children Tenzin and Tara. Rachael is kind and understanding. She takes note to ensure everyone is at ease and immediately recognises if there is any anxiety. At times when my daughter has lost her confidence, Rachael has done her utmost to reassure and rebuild that confidence. My daughter loves her lessons and often comments how much she likes having Rachael teach her.

She has also given my son such warmth and understanding for his needs during swimming lessons. He has truly flourished and I believe as a direct result of her nurturing him through his swimming journey.

When you're 6, sometimes it's important to be able to try to do things in a certain way, Rachael has shown patience and understanding and compassion and has absolutely brought the very best out of him to allow him to excel.

She is a lovely, experienced professional and nurturing teacher and I truly couldn't hope for a better teacher for my children. She absolutely deserves Star Teacher."

Rachael is now a contender for the national Puddle Ducks Star Teacher award – Good luck to you and many congratulations as this is very well deserved!
