Puddle Ducks Oxfordshire is celebrating after one of its much-loved swimming teachers, Lynn Miller, was named National Star Teacher in the Puddle Ducks Spring/Summer Star Teacher Awards.
The bi-annual awards recognise exceptional teachers from across the entire Puddle Ducks network, with families from franchises nationwide invited to nominate the teachers who have made the biggest impact on their children's swimming journey.
Following an difficult judging decision locally, Lynn was first selected as the Puddle Ducks Oxfordshire Star Teacher before going on to compete against the winning teachers from every Puddle Ducks franchise in the UK.
An independent judge reviewed all of the regional winning nominations before choosing Lynn as the overall National Star Teacher, recognising her outstanding commitment, enthusiasm and the incredible difference she makes to the families she teaches every week.
The winning nomination described Lynn as:
"Lynn truly deserves to be recognised as a Star Teacher because she is simply outstanding in every way. Her encouragement is constant, genuine and incredibly uplifting, helping every child feel capable and proud of themselves.
She has a wonderful ability to meet each swimmer at their individual level, offering the right support and challenge to help them progress with confidence. The praise she gives is heartfelt and meaningful, making such a positive impact on the children.
