Congratulations to Paula!
The wonderful Paula started with us as a trainee Puddle Ducks Baby & Pre-school teacher. She went on to train to teach Swim Academy and Aquanatal too. Paula has taught hundreds of families over her 10 years with Puddle Ducks and she is adored by her customers and we as a team love her too. She said:
"Wow, it really doesn't feel like 10 years. I remember meeting Faye at Mothercare promoting our businesses, like it was yesterday and her asking if I would be interested in teaching for her.
It was the best decision I've ever made. I love teaching and being in the pool with all the little swimmers and their grown-ups. It's a wonderful rewarding feeling, seeing my swimmers building confidence and enjoying the water. Some of the children I have taught as babies are now graduating from Swim Academy and knowing I've been part of their swimming journey makes me smile.
It really doesn't feel like a job. I have too much fun for it to be a job!"
Congratulations on reaching 10 years with Puddle Ducks Paula! You are an fantastic teacher and a fabulous team member, we are very lucky to have you! Bring on the next 10 years!

Congratulations to Lindsay!
The fabulous Lindsay originally started as a Poolside Assistant, covering for a team member's maternity leave. She initially worked at The Village Hotel South Leeds on Wednesday afternoons and has continued to be a friendly presence on poolside when needed. Lindsay also began to work as part of our office team as a Customer Care Advisor. Lindsay is the cool, calm and unflappable voice on the end of the phone. So even if you haven't met Lindsay at a pool, chances are you may have spoken to her on the phone!
We asked Lindsay about her time with Puddle Ducks, she said:
"The last ten years have been a roller coaster and a little surreal. When I look back, it’s not just a decade of work—it’s a decade of life. When I started, I had no idea what the next ten years would hold.
There's been a lot of learning, adapting, stumbling, succeeding, and growing. Lots of spreadsheets, which I hate! Lots of customers, which I love! There's been the ups of watching the business grow and the lows of lockdown. We’ve celebrated wins, navigated challenges, and pushed through times that tested us all.
I’m grateful for the past decade, and I’m excited for what comes next.
If the last ten years have taught me anything, it’s that we can handle whatever comes our way—as long as we do it together.
