STAR TEACHER AWARD WINNER!!
We are delighted to announce our fabulous Senior Teacher Steph as our Spring/Summer 2026 Star Teacher WINNER!!!
The winning nomination came from Lucy who swims with her little one Poppy.
"Steph is a fabulous teacher and a huge reason we keep coming back! She is caring, compassionate, and instinctively knows how to respond to each baby on any given day whatever their vibe! She remembers names and important little details about class members, creating a genuinely welcoming and personable environment, and her lessons are always professional and fun. She clearly explains how each activity builds towards key swimming techniques, giving real purpose to every session, and she encourages growth and bravery from session to session, which we appreciate! Most importantly though, I feel completely safe in her hands.
She has watched Poppy grow and has become a trusted, familiar presence in her life, not just a swimming teacher. Poppy absolutely loves her lessons, and is so fond of Steph, it’s heartwarming to see.
Steph is an absolute credit to Puddle ducks and truly deserves this Star Teacher Award!" -
We had over 70 nominations for our Star Teacher Award, and the lovely Katy from The Pool House Barnsley had the extremely difficult job of choosing the winning nomination.
Katy said:
"It is evident that this particular teacher is very loved.They are trustworthy, professional, welcoming caring. The list goes on. This nomination is my winner because the way they wrote about this particular teacher would put me at ease having any child I know in that class. Knowing that the child would be completely safe in their hands.
Adapting to every child’s vibe in the class. We all know some children turn up not “feeling it” but these are the classes that children remember because the teacher has made them feel like they have learnt a new technique or skill in the water and they want to come back.
I would feel at ease knowing Holly would be in the safest hands with this teacher.
A big shout out to all the other teachers nominated. You certainly have some much loved and respected teachers on your team. You should be proud of them all. They represent your business with professionalism, compassion and pride, this stands out a mile from reading all the beautiful comments.
Most of all it is apparent all the teachers love doing what they do and this is absolutely apparent to all of the parents who have nominated"
