"Having been a competitive swimmer and lifeguard myself, I cannot stress enough the importance of water safety and confidence from an early age. I am absolutely delighted to be a part of the AMAZING and nationally recognised Puddle Ducks swimming programmes and to be bringing them to babies, pre-schoolers, primary school children in West Yorkshire." - Jenny Brown

Our Baby & Pre-school programme is a wonderful bonding experience. Progressive lesson plans instil a water confidence and a love of swimming whilst our nurturing teachers tailor activities to your child’s abilities and needs.

Taught in lovely warm pools with a maximum of ten children, our classes incorporate rhyme, music and movement based on extensive child development research. Our lessons are so well received that the children we teach can often swim over 10 metres before they start school.

Puddle Ducks Swim Academy
We also run classes for older children in our Swim Academy classes, so we will be with you throughout your whole journey from baby to independent swimmer and who knows, maybe a future Olympic champion.

Whether your child is coming from a pre-school class, or has never been in the water before, you can be sure that they will get the attention that they need as our activities are individually tailored to suit each child.

With activities perfectly tailored to suit your child's age and confidence, our lessons are full of songs, rhymes, games and activities working towards your little one swimming independently, safely and happily, both above and under the water. That’s the Puddle Ducks’ difference.

Please get in touch if you would like to find out more - I would love to welcome you and your little one to our classes soon.

What Our Customers Think

“Amy had never been swimming before and attended the first lesson with Puddle ducks at 15 months of age joining the term halfway through. The lesson was a nightmare, she hated the water, the other children, the instructor and spent the entire class crying very loudly and clinging to her Dad. We persevered and the second class was marginally better in that she only scowled at everybody and whilst continuing to cling firmly. In the third lesson, she let go and reluctantly joined in some of the splashing. By the end of the term (6 lessons) Amy now physically pulls her Dad towards the pool, even before the children in the previous lesson had got out, and particularly enjoys “Jelly on a plate” but not waiting until the end of the song before jumping in.” Andrew
