About the pool
Location: The Grand Thistle Hotel, Otium Leisure Club, Broad Street in central Bristol.
Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks have exclusive use during hire times.
Changing rooms: There are two large changing rooms with showers (one male, one female) plus a large disabled changing room. Please collect a locker key on arrival from the Leisure Club reception desk.
Poolside Assistant: There is no Puddle Ducks poolside assistant but a Duty Manager is available at all times.
Pool Temp: 30-31oC
Pool Dimensions: 12.5m x 4m
Depth: 1.35m
Max Preschool Class Ratios: 8 children/adult pairs:1 teacher
Parking: As you are travelling down Broad Street, you will see the hotel on your right. Take the first immediate right after the hotel to access the car park. Take a ticket from the ticket machine and wait for the automatic door to open before entering the car park. Please note that the parking lift does not stop on Levels 2 and 4. Puddle Ducks customers receive a 50% parking discount.
Other: Once you have parked your car, either take the lift down to the basement level which leads to the Otium Leisure Club, or alternatively take the stairs. Please note that the swimming pool cannot be reached via the main hotel reception. Prams and car seats can be stored at the pool. The hotel has a large dining area and Puddle Ducks customers are very welcome to stop for coffee, refreshments or lunch.

Polly Goodman
Polly was working for a Publishing Company when she decided to change her career and independently trained to become a Swimming Teacher with the S.T.A. Soon after, we met Polly and snapped her up. You’ll understand why when you meet her. She is extremely focussed and hard working and wants nothing more than to be the best teacher she can possibly be. We’re certain you’ll love swimming with her!
