About the pool
Location: Beechwood Community Pool, Beechwood,
Runcorn.
Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks have exclusive use
during hire times.
Changing rooms: In weekday classes, there are two
changing rooms for females, each with direct access to the pool.
There is a small changing room for male bathers (pool access via
women's changing room). We will normally only allow one regular
male bather per class. Please inform the Puddle Ducks office using
the above details if regular male changing is required. (At
weekends we revert to using one large changing room for males and
one for females.) Please use the lockers which are located
poolside
Poolside Assistant: There is no poolside
assistant, but a qualified lifeguard poolside at all times.
Pool Temp: 30-31oC
Pool Dimensions: 7m x 15m
Depth: 0.9m graduating to 1.4m (roped off beyond
this depth).
Max Class Ratios: 8 children/adult pairs:1

DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE DOUBLE DOORS NEAR THE BINS!

Melanie
Melanie joined Puddle Ducks after enjoying the classes with both her daughters. A keen swimmer herself, her friendly and caring approach, along with her excellent technical skills, means she gives each child in her class a fun and progressive swimming experience.

Susan Hands (Teacher of the Term, Autumn 2010)
Susan was already a qualified swimming teacher and a Tumble Tots teacher too, so joining Puddle Ducks was a natural next step for her. Susan tells us the day passes too quickly when she is in the water teaching, and she goes home "buzzing". She has a real enthusiasm for teaching and fantastic technical knowledge which she shares readily.
James Ashley
James has a passion for teaching swimming, which he has been doing for over 5 years. He joined Puddle Ducks in 2010 as a Swim Academy instructor and loved the programme so much he became a Pre-School teacher too. His warm friendly manner and encouragement has made him a firm favourite with customers of all ages.
