The winning nomination was made by mum Sarah Bickley - her daughter is Ruby who is a Little Dipper at Parson Street School in Bedminster. Ruby is 3.
“Carly is wonderful! Our “mummy and Ruby Wednesdays” are extra special with our morning swims with Carly. We have had Carly as our swim teacher since Ruby was 12 weeks old and now she is 3!
Carly makes the lessons really fun and interactive. She is approachable, friendly and she really encourages the children. Ruby always has a huge boost of confidence after our lessons thanks to Carly.
When we are at home , Carly is also part of our soft toy family, with Ruby often role playing being Carly and teaching other soft toys to swim - that says it all about how much Ruby LOVES swimming with Puddle Ducks and Carly!!

“I was absolutely bowled over by this nomination. Clearly every Wednesday is a huge bonding experience for Ruby and her mummy. For nearly three years they've been coming along, and that says a huge amount about the fun they've had in the pool. Puddle Ducks is clearly a huge part of their lives and, as mum says, their teacher has been a huge boost to Ruby's confidence. What so impressed me about the nomination was that Ruby loves her classes so much she does role play with her toys, taking them to swimming classes while playing the part of her teacher. What an inspirational role model. I don't think you could ask for any more than that.”
