Jodie Coles - Puddle Ducks Teacher of the Term Spring 2011

Jodie Coles from Puddle Ducks Bristol & Bath was delighted to learn that she has been awarded the Puddle Ducks 'Teacher of the Term' for Spring 2011.

The competition, which was run through the Puddle Ducks customer newsletter and Facebook page, was judged by our resident under and overwater photographer Colin Farrow, owner of Colex Photography (www.colexphotography.co.uk).

This is what Colin had to say:

“I have selected Jodie for this terms teacher award, as it is clear to me that she possesses one of the most important attributes for a swimming teacher: the ability to instil confidence in her children whilst having fun, if they believe they can do it then they probably can"

Jodie was nominated by customer Wendy Hamm. Wendy wins a £10 credit towards future courses. She wrote:

"All Puddle Ducks parents have an understandable loyalty to their child's teacher but  in my opinion Jodie deserves special acknowledgement - she is consistently outstanding. Whether watching other classes from the poolside or participating in our own class my observations are the same.  Jodie teaches with such warmth, enthusiasm and genuine care for all 'her' puddle ducks. She has eyes in the back of her head, always 'catching' children doing things right and continually praising for progress achieved. But the very best thing?....she "transmits" her total confidence that every child can and will master each new skill so that they, in turn, believe it too - that's GREAT teaching.  AND we have such fun!"
